Description

The Kansas Department of Labor advances the economic well-being of all Kansans through responsive workforce services. The agency's value to Kansas is reflected in its success in removing barriers to performance for employees and employers as they seek to achieve their best. Operations. The Department of Labor is a cabinet-level agency headed by a secretary appointed by the Governor. The Department has two major divisions, each headed by a director: Workers Compensation and Employment Security. In addition, the Employment Security Advisory Council, Workers Compensation Advisory Council, and various support units are attached to the Department.
